My kids love nutella and they love banana muffins. So the chocolate and banana’s got married in our house and became one. Oh the deliciousness of it all. It’s a happy marriage and we like that. So I decided to give away the bride and groom so to speak so that you can share this happy union of food. I think you will enjoy the wedded bliss of this combination.
Banana Nutella Muffins
3 large eggs beaten
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 large bananas mashed
¾ cup oil
1 cup buttermilk (or almond milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cup all purpose flour
1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Nutella
Heat the oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit (we’ll turn the stove down to 350 degrees when our muffins are ready to go in.) Spray muffin tins with cooking spray.
Mix eggs and sugars in a large bowl, add mashed bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix till incorporated.
Mix flours, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until combined.
Pour into muffin tins at 1/4 cup measures.
Turn temperature down to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Cook for 15 mins or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes.
Cut a hole in the top center of muffin with a knife. Use a teaspoon to fill with nutella.
Makes 20 muffins.
